Improv Everywhere: MP3 Experiment 8

As 2011 comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting upon the fun things I worked on this year.  Kicking off the nostalgia trip comes July 16th’s Improv Everywhere MP3 Experiment 8.  I co-produced and shot it, and had 8 days to edit the hour-long 9-camera experience into one 6-minute video.  ’Twas intense, and I still wish I had one more day to finesse it, but I’m happy with the finished product.  The dumb push in transition that comes in at 3:50 will forever make me giggle.

Bonus: The BBC interviewed Charlie and I about it (my first video interview ever).

Improv Everywhere’s MP3 Experiment 8

Staying up until the wee hours of the night editing this provided me with many delirious laughs.  My two favorites:

1:42 - dude being a great sport, awkwardly dancing alone
3:50 - really stupid zoom in

MP3 Experiment 7: Bonus Footage

If I had more time to work on this, there would be a jabillion dumb sound effects. Sorry Internet, you’lI have to settle for 3.

This release marks the first time in over a year that I don’t have a video waiting for me to edit when I get home from work. Helloooo writing! (and Breaking Bad).

Here’s a bonus video featuring additional material from The Mp3 Experiment Seven that didn’t make it into our main video. The video ends with a time-lapse shot of the Bryant Park section of the event, sped up by a factor of 100.
