Making The Map with the #BonnarooGethard Team

I can say that I have so much love in my heart for guys like Keith “Bananaman” Haskel, Robert Malone, Andrew Flynn Soltys, Andrew “Hot Dog” Parrish, and J.D. Amato. But do I feel like they are necessarily the safety net one wants when they are the production crew who can potentially keep one alive when one is wandering through a desert? No, no I do not.

Can’t wait to help Chris out on this trip!  Any by help I mean eat bonbons in my banana costume as I edit videos about him being tortured by strangers.

Tonight on The Chris Gethard Show, we will reveal a plan that’s been in the making for many weeks. An ill advised, not that smart, project that you can get involved in personally. The Chris Gethard Show #41: Math Sucks, Hintmaster Sucks

This week’s episode of TCGS was amazeballs:

• During the Math Battle, Chris acts snarky towards 11-year-old Ruby Karp (the entire episode, but 44:20 in particular cracks me up).
• Jason Martin and his band put on a groovy performance and request the audience to put on either their wolf ears or lion-face on (21:17)
• The Hintmaster and Vacation Jason take complete control over the show (50:36)

TCGS #28 - Ruin This Show

Chris has to deal with the consequences after going on national television and announcing on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon that he wanted everyone to come to the next taping of TCGS and attempt to ruin the show. No touching the panel. No touching equipment. Everything else was fair game. What resulted was a cacophony of chaos as performers and audience members alike came out in droves to ruin the Chris Gethard Show. Chris’ only ally for the night was CollegeHumor’s Jeff Rubin who made his first appearance on the show and waded through the insanity with Chris. Aside from Jeff the only other rest from the chaos were the amazing and hilarious dance routines of the bad-ass Cocoon Central Dance Team. In the end, Chris asked the audience to ruin the show, and the audience delivered. Consider this show ruined.

A lowlight of my run on this series happened last night, when Chris and I exchanged prolonged glances of disappointment throughout the night.  

But in the weird world of Chris Gethard, that makes this episode a huge success.

A five year old kid called into our show this week. He loved The Human Fish. It’s the exact sort of thing I hoped would happen when we started a call in public access show. He sounds like he’s having so much fun. That’s why you start doing comedy, right? So kids can have more fun. - geth

I’m really proud of this moment. This kid was great. He’s gonna a super cool adult.

This musical number from last night’s The Chris Gethard Show was one of the most charmingly weird things I’ve ever been a part of.
